POLICE officers conducted a search warrant in Dolgellau today (April 22) after reports of mistreatment of dogs at a property in the area.
Assisted by representatives of the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the dogs were found and assessed by a vet.
Thankfully, North Wales Police (NWP) said that “no immediate were concerns” were found.

NWP’s Rural Crime Team said: “Following reports of ill treatment of dogs at a property in Gwern Fedw, Dolgellau, officers, along with the RSPCA, have today conducted a search warrant under the animal welfare act.
“The dogs in question were located nearby and have been assessed by a vet, where no immediate welfare concerns were noted.
“North Wales Police are committed to working in partnership with RSPCA to prevent and detect animal cruelty offences.
“If you have information in relation animal cruelty, you can report this through the RSPCA cruelty hotline.”
