A MAN from Bangor has received a prison sentence after he was found guilty of causing criminal damage to property at residential rehabilitation unit in the city.
Marcus Rahilly, aged 49, of Lower Penrallt Road, was accused of damaging the walls, wardrobe cupboards and a number of cups and bowls at Ty'n Rodyn, located on the same street.
This was on April 2, with the offence committed while Mr Rahilly was serving a suspended sentence.

Mr Rahilly was found guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on April 4, and received a four-week, concurrent prison sentence.
He avoided having to also pay compensation, as it was deemed inappropriate to make such an order as the court had imposed a custodial sentence.
