A MAN from Bangor has received a fine and points on his driving record after failing to stop his vehicle following a road accident in the city last year.
Simon Gunning, aged 54, of Lon Y Bedw, was accused of not stopping his Ford vehicle after the accident, which took place at a Tesco car park in Bangor on September 12, 2021.
He pleaded guilty to this offence on February 18.

At Mold Magistrates’ Court on April 1, Mr Gunning was fined £715, and was made to pay a victim surcharge of £72 and additional costs of £110 (monthly instalments of £100 from April 29).
He also received five penalty points on his driving record.
Mr Gunning had also pleaded guilty on February 18 to driving at the Tesco car park on the date in question without due care and attention, but no separate penalty was issued for this offence.
A third offence of failing to report the accident as soon as was practicable, or within 24 hours of the incident in any case, was withdrawn.
