A MAN has been arrested in connection with a “hate-related incident” which took place at a Bangor nightclub on Friday (March 25).
North Wales Police (NWP) say this was at the Cube nightclub, and that an 18-year-old male suspect was arrested following this “racially-motivated incident”.
NWP have urged anyone with further information to contact them.
NWP Gwynedd North said: “We are currently investigating a hate-related incident that occurred at Cube nightclub in Bangor on Friday, March 25.
“This appears to be a racially-motivated incident and was reported by a member of the public, who had seen a video recording of it on social media.
“Officers have since spoken with the victim and have arrested an 18-year-old male suspect.”

Sergeant Dan Dent added: “I’d like to reassure the public that a full investigation into this matter is currently underway.
“Incidents of this nature are rare in Bangor, but the video footage that was brought to our attention in this report is distressing.
“I would urge anyone else who sees the footage circulated online to report it to the relevant social media company and to request its removal.
“Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing, but I would encourage anyone with further information to report it to NWP.”
