NWP Gwynedd North said: “The issue of emergency service workers being assaulted has come to the fore again after an incident in Penygroes.
“At just after 7.45pm last night (March 22), NWP received reports asking for assistance in attending a medical emergency, after a male was found with head injuries.
“As officers attended the scene and administered first aid to the male, they were approached by a large group of people and subsequently verbally abused and physically assaulted.
“A 26-year-old male was arrested for a public order offence and assaulting an emergency service worker, and a 13-year-old was arrested for assaulting an emergency service worker.
“They have been released pending further enquiries.”
