A GWYNEDD man has been jailed after being found guilty of supplying Class A drugs.
Aly Khan, 64, of Caernarfon, was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and the possession with intent to supply class A drugs at Mold Crown Court on Friday (March 18).
The investigation began in the summer of 2021, after North Wales Police received numerous reports from the community regarding Khan’s involvement in the supply of Class A drugs in the Caernarfon area.
A warrant was subsequently executed at his home, which resulted in the seizure of approximately half a kilogram (0.5kg) of heroin.
After this seizure, further arrests in the following months occurred, with additional quantities of class A drugs and cash being recovered and seized.
Speaking after sentencing, Detective Inspector Christopher Hargrave said: “Today’s sentence should serve as a deterrent to those thinking about drugs supply being the way forward.
“This was a protracted investigation conducted by the Western Priority Crime Team and I am grateful to the community who continue to give us information about those involved in the supply of drugs.
“I would urge anyone with concerns or information about drug supply to report them to North Wales Police by using our Live Chat facility or dialling 101, or alternatively (and anonymously) contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
