POLICE are appealing for information after a parked heavy goods vehicle (HGV) was targeted by thieves in Anglesey.
During the early hours of March 11, thieves targeted the HGV, which was parked in a layby on the A55.
North Wales Police (NWP) say the side curtain of the trailer was slashed, while several boxes containing self-tanning products were stolen
The driver was said to be asleep in his cab at the time.
Detective Sergeant Bev Makanjee of NWP said: “We are appealing to anybody who may have information regarding this incident, or anybody who may have been offered to purchase self-tanning products in suspicious circumstances to contact us immediately.
“We are also urging all HGV drivers and haulage companies to carry out regular vehicle checks, and to look out for any slash marks on the side curtains of trailers.
“Anybody with information regarding this incident, or anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour around parked HGVs, should contact us immediately.”
