A WOMAN from Holyhead has received a suspended sentence and a fine after committing theft in an Anglesey shop.
Sharon Hughes, 41, of Llain Y Delyn, Bodedern, stole two Yankee Candles and three decorative vases, to the value of £51, from a B&M store in Llangefni on November 15, 2021.
She pleaded guilty to this offence at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on March 7.
For this, Ms Hughes was given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months.
She was also ordered to pay compensation of £51, and a victim surcharge of £77.
She was also fined £80 for committing a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order, which was issued in January 2021 following two previous offences of theft.
This amounted to a total of £208, which Ms Hughes was given until March 21 to pay.
