A MET Office yellow warning for “strong winds may cause transport and coastal disruption” has been issued for Gwynedd and Anglesey.
The warning is in place from 12am until 12pm on Sunday, March 13.
The Met Office has said that “a swathe of strong winds are expected across parts of Cornwall and west Wales during Sunday”, which could affect these North Wales regions.
Its warning added: “Southerly winds may reach 50-60 mph along mainly coastal districts, before clearing northwards later Sunday.
“This may lead to some poor coastal conditions and transport disruption.”
What to expect:
• Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer.
• Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes likely.
• Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.
• It’s likely that some coastal routes, seafronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
