A LIVERPOOL man who sold drugs in North Wales to pay a £800 debt from his addiction had arranged to meet an undercover police officer at Rhyl, a court heard today (March 10).
Thomas Cleary, 22, of Celebration Drive, Liverpool, was jailed for 28 months at Mold Crown Court following the “sting”.
He was arrested at Bangor last April with heroin and crack cocaine, £254 and a “county lines” mobile phone.
Cleary admitted supplying drugs and possession with intent to supply.
A defence lawyer said he had since moved away from a criminal lifestyle.
Judge Niclas Parry told the defendant: “You know from personal experience the harm that Class A drugs cause, and it’s a particular problem in the area you were dealing.”
