A FUN day is planned at Bangor’s Garth Pier on Saturday (March 5), with authors from the area attending a celebration of World Book Day, which takes place officially on Thursday (March 3).
In the morning and afternoon, authors will be displaying and selling their books – which range from children’s books, to history, to fiction, to poetry, and in Welsh, English, and even Spanish.
Lunchtime will feature face painting, and a fancy dress competition for the children – giving them another opportunity to wear their World Book Day costumes.
TheWorks.co.uk will also be supporting, with manager Arwyn Jones and staff in attendance.
The programme is as follows:
10am-12pm: Anne Forrest and Eleri Thomas
10am-12pm: Eira Moon
12-2pm: Lunch, face painting (by Sara Jones), fancy dress competition
2-4pm: Bethan Gwanas
2-4pm: Karen Ankers and Peter Preston
The event is weather-dependent –in the event of bad weather, the authors’ tables will be relocated to the Tap and Spile, and the lunchtime activities may need to be postponed to another day.
