A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash involving two vehicles on the A5 near Gwynedd.
The Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Police were called to the scene of the crash shortly before 2pm.
The incident occurred near Halfway Bridge by the Tregarth turn off, affecting traffic between Bangor and Betws y Coed.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 2pm today (26 January) we received reports from the Welsh Ambulance Service of a collision on the A5 near Halfway Bridge.
“The two-vehicle collision involved a motorcycle and a heavy goods vehicle.
“Officers attended and temporarily closed a section of the road while an ambulance crew assessed injuries to the female motorcyclist.
“This female was subsequently taken to hospital.”
