A new GO Outdoors shop opens today (January 11) in St. David’s Retail Park, Bangor.
Amid a nationwide boom in the popularity of outdoor activities, the brand new store will add to the vast estate of ‘GO’ stores across the UK.
The newly opened store, with free and easy parking, aims to be the go-to destination in Bangor for outdoor enthusiasts, stocking everything from the latest tents and camping equipment, to waterproof jackets, walking boots, bikes, rucksacks and more.

This 19,000 square foot store, in the retail park on Caernarfon Road, stocks a variety of unbeatable brands, such as Rab, OEX and Berghaus, as well as trusted brands like Eurohike, HiGear and Freedom Trail.
With new fixtures, fittings and signage, the new store will have a bright, clean and modern feel to it with the new GO Outdoors branding.
The store will also offer customers a convenient collection and drop-off point for parcels from online orders, UPS and DPD collections.
Opening for business today, the store will celebrate its new St. David’s Park location by offering all customers up to 60 per cent off everything from January 11 until February 21 while shopping in store.
Store manager Lee Moreland is excited to welcome new customers, who will benefit from a knowledgeable team offering services such as boot and rucksack fitting.
John Hinde, associate director at GO Outdoors, said: “We are really excited to be in the position to be opening this new store, to serve our customers in North Wales.
“We’ve been incredibly proud to see it all come to life in its new location and are looking forward to seeing our customers’ reaction.
“The decision to invest in the Bangor store was a simple one.
“We have created a great team who have been delighting customers for years in other retail roles, so I’m confident our customers will be just as thrilled as we are with their new store.”
