YOU will need an NHS Covid Pass to access nightclubs and events in Wales from Monday.
The Welsh Government has made it mandatory for people attending nightclubs and large events to show an NHS Covid Pass and prove they had been vaccinated or recently tested negative for the virus.
The law was passed in the Senedd on Tuesday following a vote, with 28 members voting in favour and 27 members voting against.
This is how you can get your NHS Covid Pass.
How to get NHS Covid Pass in Wales
You can access the NHS Covid Pass via the NHS website.
This will allow you to produce a Covid pass using your smart phone, tablet, computer of laptop.
To access it you will first need to register for an NHS login.
In order to do so you must upload a photo of your ID, be it passport, UK driving licence or European driving licence.
Once you are registered you can download your NHS Covid Pass which includes a barcode and expires after 30 days.
People in Wales will have to download the pass via the website, as the NHS app is only valid in England.
If you do not have photographic ID you will need to request a paper NHS Covid certificate.
What do I need to get an NHS login?
When you access the NHS site you will need to match your account to your NHS record.
In order to do this, you will need your NHS number or name, your date of birth and your postcode.
The NHS number is the best way to match your login with your records. It can be found on your vaccination appointment letter.
If you do not know your NHS number, then a full name can be used instead.
How to request a paper NHS Covid Pass
You should only request a Covid pass if you are double vaccinated, aged 16 or over and do not have photographic ID.
Call 0300 303 5667 to request a paper pass.
It can take up to 10 working days for a certificate to arrive.
