A 60-YEAR-old man has been arrested in Holyhead following a hit and run involving a cyclist.
The incident happened on the A55 at Valley on Anglesey last night (September 19).
The arrest was made in the early hours on this morning.
The cyclist has been transferred to hospital in Stoke with life threatening injuries.
Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We continue to appeal to anybody who may have been travelling along the A55 around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.
"Inquiries are ongoing and anybody with information that could assist with our investigation should contact us immediately.”
The man has been arrested on suspicion of numerous driving offences including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and driving whilst unfit through drink/drugs.
He remains in police custody at this time.
