LOVE Island fans were surprised to share a meal with one of the hit show’s winners at an Indian restaurant in Caernarfon.
Kem Cetinay rekindled his love for Wales on a visit to climb Snowdon with a group of friends, during which he visited Caernarfon Tandoori on South Penrallt on Sunday.
The 2017 reality show winner is said to have enjoyed lamb korai and chicken shashlik before giving time to have pictures with excited fans.
“It was really exciting for everyone including our customers and staff,” said manager Md Mustakim Raza.
“There was a lot of attention and everyone was really delighted and wanted a picture with him after he had his food.
“We were so busy when they arrived and was happy to wait which was really kind.”
Cetinay, 25, won the ITV show alongside Wales' Amber Davies, from Denbigh, and has gone on to appear on Dancing on Ice in 2018 before becoming an entertainment presenter for This Morning. He also played in Soccer Aid at Stamford Bridge in 2019.
The famous face was a sign of a much-needed return to business for the Caernarfon restaurant, which faced a difficult period during the pandemic.
“It was a tough time for the business over the last 18 months and it’s very good to have the customers back to our restaurant again,” Mr Raza added.
“I must say the locals helped us through the pandemic.”
