A GWYNEDD solicitor has captained the Law Society Yacht Club team in a sailing race on the Isle of Wight.
Jaimie Whiteley, an employment lawyer at Gamlins Law, led her team at the annual Seaview Yacht Club event.
Ms Whiteley, whose home club is Port Dinorwic in Y Felinheli, raced on the classic 26-foot Mermaid-class keelboat against teams including the Bar Yacht Club and Sheffield University Alumni.
“We had a great day’s sailing,” she said. “Although we didn’t win, there was some very close racing.
“It’s always an exciting competition.”
Ms Whiteley joined the Gamlins Law Employment Law department in January and has previously competed with the Swansea University Sailing Team.
Teams competing at the Isle of Wight event in previous years have included the House of Commons, House of Lords and Lloyds of London.
