AN AWARD winning café at Caernarfon Airport, dedicated to supporting the Wales Air Ambulance, has reopened.
Café HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) was forced to close last December following the announcement from Welsh Government that all non-essentials businesses had to shut their doors.
It will now be open for takeaways with a limited menu from Wednesdays to Sundays between 10am and 3pm.
Sue Barnes, Chief Executive of the Wales Air Ambulance, said: “We are delighted we are able to provide our customers with a takeaway option.
“The staff are looking forward to reopening the much-loved cafe and it will be lovely to welcome people back.”
Caffi HEMS is run by the Wales Air Ambulance and its name is inspired by the Charity’s role in the field of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services.
Every penny raised at the café goes towards the lifesaving work of Wales Air Ambulance.
Caffi HEMS won the best enterprise café in North Wales in 2018.
