BEAUMARIS was crowded with gourmets of all descriptions and ages enjoying the town’s annual food festival.
Held on the town green, between Beaumaris Castle and the Menai Strait, the Beaumaris Food Festival is on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.
Since it started in 2013, the festival has raised £119,600 for local causes. This year there are more than 100 exhibitors with local, national and international food producers attending.
As well as food, drink and crafts, there is entertainment, live music, demonstrations by local and celebrity chefs, and guest speakers.
Taking part were Lee Watson (vegan chef and author of Peace and Parsnips: Vegan Cooking for Everyone) and Chateau Rhianfa’s Jason Hughes from the Great British Menu, 2018.
There were free children’s cooking classes and a storyteller offering interactive sessions. Music throughout the weekend includes choirs, brass bands, solo artists and a ska band, Skariad, will perform.
Organisers anticipated it would be: "great weekend offering something for everyone.
"We can’t think of a better location that encapsulates the very essence of the Wales, 2019 theme The Year of Discovery. It is a wonderful event filled with food, drink, crafts and entertainment and much more."
