A Gwynedd man said by a judge to be “poisoned with possessiveness and jealousy” was jailed for 22 months on Friday after he admitted breaching restraining and criminal behaviour orders.
Barry Alan Jones, 39, of Cae Bold, Caernarfon, also admitted common assault and a suspended sentence was activated.
Caernarfon crown court heard he breached the criminal behaviour order early on November 22 when he woke an ex-partner by banging on her door while drunk. Prosecuting barrister Ryan Rothwell said she sought refuge in her car on the front drive but Jones threatened her.
Judge Huw Rees today made a ten-year restraining order to protect the woman.
Mr Rothwell said a restraining order in place to protect another former partner was breached at Home Bargains, Caernarfon, when Jones approached the mum who had been with her young son. “He won’t let me go,” the victim had declared in a statement.
Matthew Curtis, defending, said Jones had some “serious issues” that needed to be addressed. “His long-suffering mother has supported him as best she can,” counsel remarked.
Judge Rees said Jones displayed a “remarkably immature” attitude towards women, particularly former partners. “You simply will not listen,” the judge said.
