FILMING for a popular TV series is officially underway in Caernarfon.
Scenes for Netflix drama The Crown are currently being filmed around the Town including at the historic castle.
Production company Left Bank Pictures are expected to stay there until November 21, with scenes filmed believed to include a recreation of the investiture of Prince Charles as the Prince of Wales.
Despite traffic-related warnings being put into place by Gwynedd Council before filming began, road closures haven't seemed to cause many problems in the area.
Town Mayor Ioan Thomas said: "There's always going to be people on both sides of the fences with these sorts of things with parking lots being taken over and so on.
"However, the filming is being done outside of the busy summer tourism window so I see no problem with it myself.
"I think it can only benefit Caernarfon in the long run as when the series airs on TV it will boost interest in our Town and potentially bring more visitors in."
The Crown received rave reviews from critics for its first two series starring Claire Foy and Matt Smith as the Queen and Prince Phillip.
This third season sees them replaced by Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies
