A PILOT had a lucky escape after an aeroplane crash landed on Anglesey yesterday afternoon.
The man, assumed to be the only one on board, escaped unharmed after the light aircraft had come down near a windfarm in Rhosybol near Amwlch's Parys Mountain.
Smoke could be seen coming from the plane which had crash landed into some trees at just after 3.45pm.
Firefighters and Ambulance crew were called to attend the incident.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the pilot had only sustained "minor injuries".
“We attended an incident in the Mynydd Parys area of Amlwch at 3.45pm," she said.
“A male suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.”
It is not yet known what caused the pilot to make the emergency landing.
