BANGOR City boss Craig Harrison was full of praise for his latest new signing after securing the services of Anthony Stephens.
The talented and versatile defender is the latest big name to arrive at the VSM Stadium since the appointment of the trophy laden boss, and Stephens joins the Citizens after a very successful spell at JD Welsh Premier League side Bala Town.
Harrison, said: “It’s fantastic to have Stevo on board. He is a massive signing and someone who is a top young player with almost 100 Welsh Premier League games under his belt and Europa League experience.
“He has great ability, is very good defensively and can also bomb forward. He also has a great left foot which will give us balance.
“He is a very good communicator, a leader and organises. He can play left back, left midfield, central midfield and his natural position of left back.
“Stevo gives us great flexibility which is high up on my list when players come to Bangor City.”
Stephens becomes the sixth new City signing this summer as the ex-New Saints boos looks to get the club back into the top flight at the first opportunity following their demotion to the Huws Gray Alliance.
More announcements regarding player personnel are expected in the coming days, with Harrison currently in negotiations with a number of potential signings to further strengthen the side.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Stevo, the conversations we have had over the last few weeks have been in great depth and we have been on the same page,” added Harrison.
“He is going to be a real asset from a dressing room perspective from a dressing room point of view and another great leader on the pitch.”
