A PERSON was airlifted to hospital following a "medical emergency" on an Anglesey beach.
Holyhead coastguard rescue team were paged just before 2pm on Tuesday, August 16 to a person on Rhoscolyn beach.
A spokesperson for the team said: "We responded to scene along with Rescue 936 and the Welsh Ambulance Service.
"The team cleared the beach for helicopter evacuation. We were assisted by Welsh Ambulance Service carried the casualty to the aircraft.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.12pm on Tuesday, August 15 to a medical emergency on Borth Wen Beach in Holyhead.
“We sent two emergency ambulances to the scene, where crews treated one patient.”
The rescue team were paged again at 6.10pm to a boat said to be in difficulty off South Stack.
The spokesperson added: "The team responded to area and found the boat all was well a call with good intent team returned to station by 7.15pm."
Anyone in trouble on the sea or the cliffs should telephone 999 and ask for the coastguard.
