A VEHICLE FIRE caused part of the A55 to close this morning.
The Fire Service were called at 6.32am to attend the incident between Llanfairpwll and Gaerwen.
Crews from Bangor and Caernarfon were on the scene between Junction 6 and 8 Eastbound. The cause of the fire was believed to have been an engine malfunction.
Traffic Wales had put out a warning to motorists regarding congestion but the road re-opened just before 07:30 after fire crews extinguished the blaze.
The Welsh Ambulance Service say they were not required at the car fire and nobody was injured during the incident.
